The installation of transformer high-voltage bushings is a highly technical and meticulous task, especially for equipment with voltage levels of 110kV and above. Strict adherence to specifications is essential to ensure insulation performance and operational safety. The following are the core installation steps for high-voltage bushings, summarized from industry standards and field practice:

Pre-Installation Preparation

Inspect the porcelain components for integrity, checking for cracks, damage, or discharge marks.

Confirm the oil level is normal (applicable to oil-immersed bushings), with no oil leakage.

Verify that the model and specifications match the design drawings to avoid capacity or voltage level mismatches.

Measure the insulation resistance, typically requiring no less than 1000MΩ.

Perform a dielectric loss tangent (tanδ) test to ensure insulation performance is up to standard.

Check the reliability of the end screen grounding; the measuring terminals must be reliably grounded when not measuring.

Clean the bushing flange surface and transformer mounting holes, ensuring they are free of oil and impurities.

Check the sealing gasket for integrity; replace it with an oil-resistant rubber gasket if necessary to prevent future leaks.

Prepare specialized lifting tools, torque wrenches, nylon slings, etc. Do not use steel wire ropes to directly tie ceramic components.

Implement safety measures such as power outage, voltage testing, and grounding to ensure operational safety.
